M25 Junctions 16/17 – HS2 Enabling and Highway Works
VolkerTraffic Management supported daily and nightly highway works associated with activity around M25 Junctions 16 and 17, including slip road works and 24/7 hard shoulder closures. Our support included roadspace booking, traffic management design, liaison with stakeholders and the planning and delivery of lane closures and hard shoulder closure arrangements. Working on the strategic road network required a strong focus on compliance, programme coordination and safe systems of work. The team helped provide safe working space for the construction activities while supporting the continued operation of the motorway network and minimising disruption to road users.
M25 Junctions 29/30 – Geotechnical Survey Works
The team supported geotechnical survey works on the M25 between Junctions 29 and 30 through the provision of nightly lane closures. Our involvement included roadspace coordination, traffic management drawings, stakeholder liaison and on-site implementation. The works were planned around overnight working windows to reduce disruption to road users while enabling the survey teams to access the carriageway safely. By coordinating the closures carefully and maintaining compliance with strategic road network requirements, VolkerTraffic Management helped the surveys progress safely and efficiently.
M40 Junctions 6–12 – Bridge Survey Works
VolkerTraffic Management supported VolkerLaser with bridge survey works across multiple locations on the M40 between Junctions 6 and 12. Our teams provided nightly lane closures, traffic management design, roadspace booking support and on-site delivery. The works required careful coordination across multiple structures and locations, with traffic management arrangements planned to suit the survey programme and network availability. Through effective planning and delivery, we helped enable bridge inspections and surveys to be completed safely during overnight working windows.
M1 Junction 8 – Soil Engineering Survey Works
VolkerTraffic Management provided traffic management support for soil engineering survey works on the M1 at Junction 8. The works required night-time lane closures to allow investigation teams to access the network safely. Our role included traffic management planning, roadspace support, design, liaison and delivery of the closure arrangements. The scheme demonstrated our ability to support short-duration, high-risk survey activities on the strategic road network, ensuring safe separation between the workforce and live traffic while keeping disruption to a minimum.
