About Street Lighting
The Street Lighting team are responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of street lighting assets. This includes a multitude of LED upgrades and electrical connections for CCTV, speed cameras and traffic enforcement equipment. We also provide architectural and feature lighting and central management systems, future proofing the networks for our clients.
Manage over 350,000 electrical highway assets and are experts in the installation and maintenance management of highway infrastructure assets. This includes street lighting, EV charging points, Variable Message Signs (VMS) and illuminated bollards.
As a member of the National Electrical Registration Scheme (NERS), we are a certified Independent Connection Provider (ICP), delivering connections to metered and unmetered power sources, reducing the time required for ICP electrical installations. This service is delivered through VolkerSmart Technologies.

VolkerSmart Technologies is a leading installer and maintainer of smart infrastructure for the connected and sustainable communities of the future. We have installed over 10,000 EV charging points since 2017 and are specialists in providing commercial and on-street electric vehicle charging solutions and smart infrastructure for the connected and sustainable communities of the future.
Being an independent connections provider enables VolkerSmart Technologies to connect directly onto the local power network on metered or unmetered highway electrical assets, without the reliance on the statutory provider. This improves efficiencies and helps to secure on-time delivery for our clients.
