Assistant Information Manager

An opportunity has arisen for 2 Assistant Information Managers to join Volker Rail based in Doncaster
Key duties
- Support delivery of Information Management (IM) requirements on projects, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, and company procedures.
- Assist in the implementation and management of Common Data Environments (CDEs), including Asite, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Contribute to digital workflows, system improvements, and adoption of IM best practices across projects.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure clear communication, compliance, and timely issue escalation.

Pre-contract: Support bids, IM planning, and development of key documentation (e.g. BIM Execution Plans, Digital Plans).

Mobilisation: Assist with project setup, including IM plans, roles/responsibilities, training, and CDE configuration.

Design & Delivery: Manage and quality-check information, ensuring accurate, compliant sharing and coordination via the CDE.

Close-out: Support handover of project information, records management, and digital archiving in line with policies.

Assist with IM reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement activities on projects.

Supervise and support team members where required, contributing to capability development and knowledge sharing.

Maintain professional development and promote a culture of high standards, collaboration, and innovation.
About you
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).
- Additional qualification in Information Management, ICT, or Computer Science (e.g. HNC) is desirable.
- Proven experience in document control, with some exposure to Information Management in multi-disciplinary project environments.
- Experience using Common Data Environments (CDEs) is essential.
- Ideally has experience within the construction or rail industry.

Full UK driving licence is desirable.
