VolkerGround Engineering reach another milestone on the Preston & South Ribble FRMS
The VolkerGround Engineering team has successfully completed the extraction of 208 no. 6m PU18 piles, originally installed last year to facilitate construction of the permanent flood defence.
Using our 23t excavator paired with the SG50v Movax, the team carried out the works in extremely close proximity to the new defence structure. Thanks to the precision control of both the Movax and the excavator, and the skill of our operatives, the piles were removed with zero impact on the permanent wall.
A great example of careful planning, technical capability, and teamwork coming together to support the wider scheme.
