VolkerGround Engineering at Caterfield Lane
VolkerGround Engineering has successfully completed piling works at Caterfield Lane, supporting our client on a complex infrastructure scheme.
Across two visits to site, our team installed EZ19-700 sheet piles, ranging from 1.5m to 7.5m in length. Caterfield Lane, the road adjacent to the pile line, remained open throughout the duration of the works by utilising our Movax side grip to minimise platform widths.
We were engaged early, to assist with the development of temporary works, advising on plant reach and working room requirements. Faced with stiff clays across the site, we deployed our dangle drill to pre-auger the pile line, before installation using our Movax side grip and impact driving to final level.
A low-level bridge between piling areas added further complexity, requiring partial machine disassembly to ensure safe transportation during the inter-site move.
