Introducing the Giken Supercrush – Silent power for challenging ground conditions
We’re excited to announce the latest addition to the VolkerGround Engineering fleet: the Giken Supercrush – a cutting-edge silent piling rig designed to tackle the toughest ground conditions with minimal disruption.

Our team have been over to Holland this week to carry out final inspections, before the press is shipped to the UK.
The Giken Supercrush combines press-in technology with integrated augering, enabling vibration-free and low-noise sheet pile installation—even in dense soils, hard strata, or rock. This makes it the ideal solution for environmentally sensitive sites or urban areas where traditional piling methods fall short.
Why the Giken Supercrush stands out:
- Silent and vibration-free: Perfect for noise-restricted or vibration-sensitive environments.
- Unmatched ground penetration: Ability to install sheet piles in conditions conventional piling equipment could not achieve, including soils with high SPT N-values, cobbles or boulders and rock.
- Environmentally friendly: Minimises impact on surrounding structures and ecosystems. Fitted with Stage 5 engine and bio degradable hydraulic oil.
- Restricted working: Enables sheet piles to be installed in challenging ground conditions where conventional methods aren’t feasible.
Whether you're working in a constrained city centre or a protected natural area, the Giken Supercrush offers a smarter, cleaner and more capable approach to piling.
The Giken Supercrush can also be modified to install piles in solo mode with water jetting. This complements our existing piling capability using leader rigs, Movax and conventional methods.
