VolkerWessels UK announces financial results for 2024

London, 18th August 2025 – VolkerWessels UK is pleased to announce its financial results for the year ending 31 December 2024, marking a year of strong performance and continued growth across all areas of the business.

The Group generated a profit before tax of £48m, which equates to a return of 3.2%EBT, building on the progress from the previous year. 

This success reflects a strategic focus on high quality operational delivery, good governance, collaboration with trusted supply chain partners and securing the right profile of contracts. The dedication, resilience, and skills of VolkerWessels UK’s people have been central to the achievements.

All business units contributed to our success, with momentum within the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors and steady workloads in other areas. This is combined with robust governance which continues to reduce the impact of legacy loss-making contracts.

Commenting on the results, Richard Offord, CEO of VolkerWessels UK, said:

In 2024 typical infrastructure projects included, Heathrow Southern Runway resurfacing, Strategic Pipeline Alliance, Radlett Strategic Rail Freight Interchange, Tay Bridge re-waterproofing and extending our highways term maintenance contract with Bath and North East Sommerset council. 

Looking ahead, we remain focused on supporting the UK government’s infrastructure spending strategy and continuing to operate in critical infrastructure markets, including transport, water and energy.
