Keel Crossing shortlisted for Infrastructure Project of the Year
Keel Crossing has been shortlisted in the Infrastructure Project of the Year category at the Constructing Excellence North East Awards 2026.
The landmark pedestrian and cycle bridge forms a central part of the Riverside Sunderland regeneration programme, providing a high-quality active travel route across the River Wear and enhancing connectivity within the city.
Being shortlisted is a fantastic achievement and recognition of the hard work and expertise of everyone involved.
This latest recognition follows Keel Crossing being shortlisted at both the Construction News Awards and the New Civil Engineer Bridges Awards, further highlighting the project’s impact and quality.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 12 June.
