Working closely with our Talent & Engagement Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting our L&D function — from early careers programmes to training workshops across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, develop valuable skills, and earn a recognised qualification along the way.
Please note that this role is based at our Hoddesdon office, with occasional travel to sites.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide essential administrative and coordination support to our L&D team, helping us deliver high‑quality learning experiences for colleagues across VolkerFitzpatrick.

About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Educated to GCSE level in English & Maths (minimum Grade 4/5 or equivalent)
- A confident communicator who enjoys supporting and engaging with people at all levels
- Digitally savvy, with strong ICT skills and a genuine interest in modern tools and systems
- Organised, proactive, and eager to learn
- Emotionally intelligent, empathetic, and people‑focused
- Comfortable using Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft 365 suite
