VolkerWessels UK named ‘Most Improved’ at National Centre for Diversity awards.
VolkerWessels UK is proud to have been named winner in two categories at the National Centre for Diversity Grand Awards – for ‘Most Improved Organisation of the Year’ and ‘Engineering Company of the Year’.
The National Centre for Diversity Grand Awards is an event where members of industry come together to celebrate their ongoing commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. The organisation is passionate about promoting EDI in all areas within business. It aims to advance fairness for all by helping embed best practice across the workplace, and provide e-learning programmes, face-to-face training, and consultancy.
VolkerWessels UK’s wins recognise the ongoing progress the business has made towards creating a fully inclusive environment where diversity is valued. Its ‘Building Inclusion Together’ strategy is being embedded by a network of volunteer EDI champions throughout the business, and a steering committee with board level sponsorship. A programme of EDI awareness training and communications has been delivered across the business, and during 2019 VolkerWessels UK achieved Investors in Diversity accreditation.
