Our highly skilled people hold competencies to operate and maintain a variety of on track machines such as tampers and ballast regulators, through to Kirow cranes and RRV’s with specialist attachments.
We work with clients across main line railways, depots, overground mass transit networks and tramways, along with private sidings and heritage railways, delivering a variety of projects, including maintenance, overhead line installations, bridge installations and track renewals.
We have a great opportunity for a Resource & Logistics Coordinator to work in our Plant department based in Scunthorpe.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensure all employee rosters are created adhering to all appropriate terms and conditions.
- Ensure all employee rosters are created adhering to all relevant Railway Standards.
- Ensure that all fatigue management calculations are undertaken, and the results factored into all staff rosters.
- Develop and maintain the rostering database to ensure information is available, including the production of internal reports, etc.
- Ensure confirmed plan changes are managed to ensure delivery of contracted works, including (staff changes, machine change requirements, train pathing requirements (VSTP) route conductor change requirements, etc.)
- Ensure the planning system is updated with confirmed Train paths upon receipt and that all changes are managed to ensure delivery of planned shifts.
- Support the Logistics Manager with all the logistic requirements for the Plant business – including but not limited to fuel, parts, consumables, and machine waste collection to ensure optimum machine reliability and performance.
- Support the Logistics Manager to ensure all OTMR data is downloaded as per the relevant standards.
- With the support of the Logistic Manager, develop a suite of reports to brief out monthly to enable review, discussion, and necessary action.
About you
- Be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of experience in a similar role within rail/ construction related industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint etc)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, literacy and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and competing priorities
- Flexible, proactive and positive attitude; diplomatic and patient, demonstrating exceptional initiative to co-ordinate multiple parties and act collaboratively
- Be able to maintain good relationships with experienced managers and leaders
