CVU
London
CVU is a joint venture between VolkerHighways Colas and AECOM and is currently delivering the Central London Highways Alliance Contract (LoHAC) for TfL.
CVU provide a fully integrated highways service including traditional highways maintenance services, emergency response, inspections, design services and the delivery of capital investment and existing asset renewal schemes.
This innovative new alliance was the first of its kind in the UK and sees TfL and the London Boroughs working together to procure highways works from a pre-priced, standard list of services from chosen contractors covering the four main areas of London (north east, north west, central and south).
The four frameworks cover road maintenance and the design and construction of new schemes and to all roads across London.
CVU was formed to utilise the specialist skills of each of the three companies to offer a complete and integrated service that delivers the requirements of the LoHAC.
The LoHAC contracts became effective in April 2013 and will last for an eight-year period.
