Peter, aged 43, was previously Managing Director of highways contractor John Crowley (Maidstone) Ltd, and has over twenty year's experience of the business. 

"I am delighted to have been appointed Managing Director of VolkerHighways. With the support of the wider VolkerWessels family and the excellent management team at VolkerHighways, I intend to grow the business over the coming years" said Peter.

The company, which was formed by the amalgamation of John Crowley, Gabriel, Fitzpatrick's highways division and street lighting specialists MEWS, turns over £130m a year, also announced other positions: Rob Stranders, previously of Fitzpatricks Highways division becomes Operations Director, Nick Wilson, formerly with Gabriel becomes Estimating Director, Gareth Simms becomes the new Commercial Manager, Sally Pearson becomes Business Development Director, and Colin Wright becomes HSEQ Manager.
