Network Rail is currently working with VolkerFitzpatrick to deliver essential upgrades at Northumberland Park station in Haringey, as part of the £170 million Lee Valley Rail Programme.

In April, a major milestone was achieved when sections of the station’s new footbridge were installed across the existing West Anglia Main Lines, using a 350 tonne crane.

The new accessible footbridge at Northumberland Park station will provide access across the railway and to the new island platform, via new ramp structures.

Project manager, Alasdair Wilson-Smith, said: “This is a great achievement for the Northumberland Park Station project and our site team and subcontractors have worked really well together to reach this point. We still have a way to go until completion and there have been several challenges along the way but the team has managed these well and I look forward to reaching our next project milestone.”

The footbridge is due to be completed in summer 2018.
