VolkerFitzpatrick recently celebrated mixed-use development Essoldo House receiving a prestigious Schüco Excellence Award.
The annual awards recognise outstanding projects in the areas of design and innovation, completed throughout the UK and Ireland.
Located on London’s King’s Road, the eye-catching Essoldo House development was completed at the end of last year and features retail units, residential accommodation and a three-screen boutique cinema. The project was shortlisted for three awards and won in the ‘Residential Development’ category.
The VolkerFitzpatrick team, along with Nick Shipp Architects, celebrated at a ceremony held at Banqueting House, London, on 16 September.
Luke Hirst, project manager for VolkerFitzpatrick, said: “The team have worked very hard, for over four years, to deliver this complex and visually striking development, within the often-challenging environment of London’s busy King’s Road. Like so many other projects, we’ve also had to rise to the challenges posed by working through the Covid-19 pandemic and the team have done this admirably. I’m delighted that their efforts have been recognised with this award.”
In addition to the Schüco Excellence Award, Essoldo House recently received a special commendation in the ‘Best Boutique Development’ category of the 2021 London Evening Standard New Homes Awards and has also been shortlisted in the ‘Mixed-use’ category of the 2021 Architects’ Journal Architecture Awards.
