The award recognises those who have created an environment where individuals feel they are welcome, can do their best work and can thrive. The project team, who are currently delivering the Oldbury Viaduct Major Renewal Scheme for Highways England, are working on a proactive long-term strategy, to access communities, educational organisations and other employment initiatives to recruit talent from both traditional and non-traditional routes.

The award was presented at the CIHT’s 14th annual ceremony, at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, London, in front of an audience of over 400 guests.

Andrew Hugill, director of policy and technical affairs for CIHT, said: “The Oldbury Viaduct Major Renewal Scheme has seen diversity and inclusion championed from the top and driven through the whole organisation and supply chain. The bmv JV has displayed fresh thinking and their wide range of initiatives have all been measured and the outcomes are impressive.”
