VolkerHighways sets up its own recycling facilities

VolkerWessels UK has an ambitious target to reduce the amount of waste it sends to landfill by 25% year on year.

Showing its commitment to sustainability VolkerHighways has gone to the lengths of setting up a number of its own strategic recycling facilities in order to manage the volumes of waste generated, reduce travel times and enable the production of high quality recycled material.

If excavated materials cannot be reused on site as back fill, then they are removed from site and recycled through one of VolkerHighways approved depots.
