Teme Bridge is a scheduled monument situated in Tenbury Wells, on the Worcestershire and Shropshire border, on the strategically significant A452 Worcester to Ludlow Road.  Dating back to Medieval Times, the bridge crosses the River Teme, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

This 14^th century, 6 span scheduled ancient monument stone arch structure had in 1908 concrete extensions added to provide a 5.5m wide carriageway with 1.4m wide footways on either side.

The existing surfacing was removed to expose the existing arches and concrete deck sections.  The concrete decks were waterproofed and services protected with two areas of the existing arches having stone work replaced with the approval of English Heritage.

Once the traffic diversion had been put in place, VolkerLaser was in a position to install steel beams to strengthen the concrete extensions and carry out local repairs to the concrete work including spandrels. Three areas of the existing wing wall required stabilising, this was achieved using bored piles that were tied back into the existing foundation.
