VolkerRail achieves BS11000 Certification

VolkerRail has achieved BS11000 certification, the world's first national standard for collaborative business relationships. The prestigious certification, which is being championed by Network Rail, recognises a company's ability to work in a collaborative manner with clients, partners and key stakeholders to drive continual improvement and deliver greater value for money.

VolkerRail is one of the first rail infrastructure organisations to be awarded BS11000, with assessors postively commenting on the effectiveness of the company's end-to-end process being demonstrated throughout the assessment.

Specific praise was given to VolkerRail for it's commitment to collaboration as part of the Staffordshire Alliance, which sees VolkerRail working in partnership with Network Rail, Atkins and Laing O'Rourke on the UK's first ‘pure construction alliance' in the rail sector to deliver the circa £250 million Stafford Area Improvement Programme (SAIP) on the West Coast Main Line.

This is just one of many examples where VolkerRail has worked in partnership with a range of stakeholders in the industry to achieve mutual benefit.
