Services director, Phil Bridge, was elected ‘Chair' and proposals manager, Bob Pizzey, was elected ‘Senior Vice Chair'. The board governs over 720 members across four counties; Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. The CIHT provides support and networking opportunities for members through technical seminars, conferences and social events across all aspects of highways and transportation.

VolkerHighways encourage the continuing professional development of all employees and recommends the CIHT for students and engineers to further their knowledge and career through a wide range of events and conferences. This is in addition to the fantastic education and training support offered for those wishing to gain either Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
