New rail director appointed

Chris Evans has been appointed as the new managing director for VolkerFitzpatrick's rail division.

Chris, who is a chartered civil engineer with a honours degree in civil engineer and a Diploma in Business Management, has 30 years' experience in working on design and construction projects. His experience of working in integrated, collaborative teams, demonstrating best practice delivery and engineering excellence will ensure that VolkerFitzpatrick continues to work closely with customers to add value to its operations. 

Chris' project portfolio includes international and national projects such as the Second Severn Crossing, the Kap Shui Mun Bridge in Hong Kong as well as being project director for Blackfriars Station and Bridge Project and Crossrail's Liverpool and Whitechapel Station Tunnelling Project.

Commenting on his appointment Chris said: "VolkerFitzpatrick has an excellent reputation for delivery, people and processes and I'm delighted to be joining the team and look forward to delivering exciting and successful projects."
